Marking the twentieth anniversary of Michael Landy’s Break Down, Thomas Dane Gallery is pleased to present an archive exhibition looking back at the seminal project. The display includes works and ephemera spanning the project’s initial conception, development and its aftermath, from preparatory drawings and selected press clippings to documentary footage, pamphlets and invitation cards. Michael Landy’s Break Down will include a selection of 6×4 photographs of Break Down taken by Wolfgang Tillmans and gifted to Landy at the time, and which have never been exhibited before.
